Tubes Are In!

Ian's tube placement is done and he is doing very well. Grampy Jon picked us up this morning and took us to the hospital, we registered, were taken to his outpatient room, met with the anesthesiologist, the ENT doctor stopped in and we were set. They took him out of the room at 7:30 and Dr. Capper came out and said everything went well at 7:41! Ian is very much in a stage of stranger anxiety, so that was probably the hardest part of the day, just all of the different people he saw. He was very grump when he was coming out of the anesthesia, but he recovered quickly and we were home by 8:45. He played a little and got in my lap at 9:30. He fell asleep rocking with me (which hasn't happened for MONTHS!) and I fell asleep to. We slept until 11:00! He has been on the go as normal and seems to be doing very well. Hopefully this helps him feel better and keeps ear infections away!

  2. Glad to hear the surgery went well! I had tubes put in when I was in 1st grade and they helped sooo much. They are so worth it.
