Happy Birthday Ian Scott!

I can't believe that one year has gone by so quickly! One year ago today God blessed us with our baby Ian, and one year later I am still so thankful to have him! He is such an amazing little guy. He has so much determination and curiousity. He isn't afraid of anything and is so brave, his favorite pasttime is climbing anything and everything he can! I wish I could put in to words how amazing the last year has been, but a writer I am not.

One year and one day ago I was questioning how I could love another child as much as I loved my first born....how silly I was. I was so nervous how Eli would handle having to share his mommy and daddy, again ridiculous! Ian and Eli have such a wonderful relationship, I know they were meant to be brothers just by how they look at each other. Ian is now looking for Eli first thing in the morning to give him a hug and kiss, precious!

So, happy birthday my precious boy! I love you and thank God for you every day! I look so forward to watching you grow for many years to come.

Buildin' a Birdy House!

Eli went with me to a craft show recently and he was so excited to see birdhouses there. He has seen birdhouses before (my parents have several) but it made him want to BUILD a birdhouse! He is really starting to think about things that he wants to do and then we talk about how to go about doing these things. I will ask him what we need, who could help us, how big things will be, etc. We ended up buying a birdfeeder kit because it would have been ridiculous to buy all of the wood we needed and then cut it to size, and besides this was so cute! Anyway, he wanted Daddy and Grampy to help him and all we have left to do is paint it!

Getting all the pieces out!

And then we glue.....

And then we hammer.....

Eli got bored, so Daddy and Grampy finished it up.

A picture when it's all done.

...and Eli had to sign his name! I have been trying to get him to work on writing his name, but he usually doesn't want to. I found him with the birdfeeder and pencil and when I asked him what he was doing he told me he had to put his name on it!
