Coffee Conversation
Yesterday the boys and I went to the Y (where I used to be the childcare director) to sign up for swimming lessons and visit some of my old co-workers. We were finishing up our visit and I was putting Ian in his infant seat and Eli headed towards a coffee pot that they have out for whoever wants. He was reaching for the handle of the coffee pot and I said to him "Eli, don't touch that, it's hot. When did you start drinking coffee anyway?". He quickly answered "Last Thursday."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Too Much 'Tation"
What is 'tation you ask? My son's version of temptation. We are not really sure where he picked up this word, but he absolutely used it in the right context. Scott and Eli went to the grocery store and they got some treats just for Eli. They put them in a small bag and Eli wanted to hold them during the ride home. Scott told Eli that he couldn't open it, that he would have to wait until they got home. Just as they were leaving the parking lot, Eli threw the bag on the floor. When Scott asked him why he threw it down, Eli said "Too much 'tation." Scott asked what he said again and Eli said "TATION Dad!". "Temptation?" asked Scott. "Yeah, dad.....too much 'tation".....

"I'm So Proud of God"
Lately we have been talking alot with Eli about God. He has really been interested in God since Christmas when we got him the book "God Gave Us Christmas". He knows that God has given us all of the good and wonderful things in our life and that we should thank Him for all he has given us. In the middle of the night last night Eli spiked a fever. I got up with him and gave him some ibuprofen and got him some juice. He came back to bed with me and snuggled up to my back, we were "spooning".
He said to me; "Mommy, you share your pillow with me?"
Me: "Of course."
Eli: "You're a good girl Mommy"
I said "Thanks Eli".
Eli: "God make you mommy"
Me: "yes Eli"
and then he said..... "I'm so proud of God".

Exhausted
All day long I can't wait to get home, finish my day and get to bed early. But that never happens. By the time I get the boys down and take care of the things that HAVE to be taken care of around the house, I am not ready to go to bed. I have to sit down and mess around on the computer, watch some TV....something to just wind down, but then the next morning I am exhausted again! I need to end this vicious cycle....maybe I will leave my kitchen a mess tomorrow night ;)

Binky Went Bye- Bye!!!!!!
He finally did it! Last week we went to our first dental visit and the dentist told Eli that if he kept using a binky that it could really hurt his teeth. I had thought that there wasn't any damage yet, but his bite is way off! Your top teeth are supposed to cover 50 % of your bottom teeth and his are about 1/2 inch away from each other! As soon as we left, I told Eli we were going to have to get rid of the binky because I didn't want his teeth to get worse. He cried for his binky twice that day, but by that night he crawled up in my lap to cuddle before bed and he said "Mommy, I don't need my binky, I don't want my teeth hurt!" and he has been binky free ever since! I can't believe how easy it was really. A few times he has looked at me with this silly little face he makes and asked for his binky, but he is totally kidding me! It is too funny! I should have done it sooner, but it is finally done and my parents couldn't be happier!
One Year Ago Today....
I can't believe that it has been one year since I found out I was pregnant! It seems just like yesterday we got out BFP, but it also seems like Ian has been with us forever!!!! On a side note...one year ago today the Giants won the Superbowl! It was a great day at our house!!!!

He Rolled Over!
Out of nowhere, Ian rolled over! I remember Eli would work so hard just to get half way there and just not be able to get ALL of the way. Well, Ian has not been showing any signs of trying to roll over, but what did he do today....flipped his butt right over! When we do tummy time he has been trying to get "up" and scooting around, but no signs of rolling over. I wonder if it is just a fluke?
