Numbers 3 & 4!

Not sure why, but Ian seems to be popping teeth through two at a time. His top two teeth have finally come through today. He has been working on these two for over a week and has been miserable. Last night he was up four times ( so much for the sleeping through the night post from Saturday ) and just was fussy. Hopefully now that they are both through he will feel better.

Two More Days!

Only two more days of school left! The preschoolers are restless and we are having a fun time being less "structured"....it is easier on all of us that way! I am so looking forward to being home with the boys this summer, but I am sure that I will be ready to go back this fall! I think the thing I am looking forward to the most is not pumping! I love providing my son with the best milk for him, but I hate the pump! I am hoping that when I go back next fall, I will not have to pump, that I will be down to nursing morning, afternoon and night. This should work since I only work part time...I'm crossing my fingers!

I have lots of ambitious goals for this summer:
~Get organized (and stay that way!)
~Sell/give away all of our baby stuff
~Rearrange the upstairs and repaint the rooms, possibly getting ready to move Eli upstairs????
~Lots of time at the pool, park and some fun day trips
~Working out daily

As I said, these are ambitious goals, but I am writing them down none the less! I a going to start working on a time line and rewards for doing each so that I am more likely to get them done!

Ian Slept All Night

Well, the title of the post says it all! I was scared to death when I rolled over and realized it was 7 AM and I hadn't been up all night. I ran in to his room and watched his chest rise up and down and just stared at my sweet boy with his knees under his chest and his bum up in the air. I have waited for this day for a long time, but I really don't want him to grow up! I watch him in amazement all of the time at how quickly he is catching on to things, at the same time wishing he would slow down. It is so funny that with Eli I would watch him just waiting for him to do something and I watch Ian and wish he would slow down. I hate that he is my last baby, but I don't think I could make it through another!

Poor Joe ... and the many uses of a Boppy!

Today Joe had an accident and got his finger smashed in a door. The ER cleaned it up, took some xrays and bandaged it up. It is broken and we have to go see a specialist (orthopedic) to see what they recommend. He is doing pretty well, but was really tired when we got home. He thought he had to hold his hand in the air to "keep it up" and I told him he could use a pillow...I was in the kitchen when we were having this conversation and he is in the chair where I usually nurse Ian and he asked if he could use my pillow. I thought he was referring to the one behind his head...he was talking about the boppy....it was behind the chair and I just haven't stored it yet....anyway, when I came in to the living room this is what I found! Please send quick healing prayers our way!

Eli's Birthday Party

Eli turned three on April 30 and we had his party the weekend prior. He had a great time, the weather wasn't as nice as we would have liked, but a good time was had by all! He got lots of nice gifts and has been playing with them all of the time. We got him a John Deere bike. He was so excited about it, but hasn't really tried to ride it...but he really loves getting pushed around on it! And now for the pictures:

Ian - Six Months Old

I can't believe that my baby is already six months old. Time has gone so fast! He is hitting physical milestones way before Eli did, I think he just wants to be in the middle of things. When Eli and Joe are playing you can see Ian thinking "How can I get over there?" and it is almost like he rocks to try and get closer to them. He is eating table food, he refuses to eat baby food, but loves to chow down on what he can that we are having to eat. He "crawls" (see video below) to get things he wants and he is getting all over the place when he is in his walker. His favorite's include bath time, being outside and watching his big brothers. Some nights he only wakes once, other nights he is up several times. I think a lot of the variance is due to teething. He has gotten his bottom two teeth in and loves to chew on everything. He is such a momma's boy! He will be playing happily in the other room, but once he sees me he starts whining and whimpering...melts my heart really! I love my precious boy and have had a wonderful first six months with him.
As far as his six month well baby check, he weighed 17 pounds and 4 ounces and was 26 inches long. About the 50th % for both. He is doing everything that he should be and then some. Our physician did notice that his left eye seems to be a little weak. Nothing that he is really worried about, just something to watch. However, now it is bothering my like crazy...I am constantly staring into his eyes to check it's position...hopefully it is nothing.

Lot's of Catching Up To Do!

Wow! I can't believe that it has been over two weeks since I have blogged! Ian turned six months old, Eli turned three, we had his party and our first camping trip....I have a lot to share! Be looking for new posts (I'm hoping that by posting that I will post, it will happen!).
